About Me

Why "The Life Not My Own"?

I am a daughter of the Most High King, hopelessly in love with my Savior.  Long ago, I learned that the only way to truly make a difference in this world was to lay all that I am down at God's feet and let Him live through me.  More of Him, and always less-and-less of me.   And so, you see, this life is not my own.  It's a daily journey, and I fail so often, but I'll never give up.

Who Am I?

I grew up in the mountain town of Flagstaff, AZ, and loved living there.  I liked it so much, in fact, that I stayed there for college to study Elementary Education at Northern Arizona University.  Then one day I met my cowboy, an amazing man from Arkansas...a place I had never been.  I fell head-over-hills in love with this cowboy and a year later we said our vows and he whisked me halfway across the country to a teeny little town in North Central Arkansas.  And I am so glad he did.

Where We Are Today

My husband, Andy, is the co-owner of a local ironworks company and in August of last year I became a full-time homemaker and stay-at-home-mom after we welcomed our sweet baby boy, Miles Patrick Baker, into our family.

This life is a wonderful adventure with God at the helm, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  We seek to daily lay down our lives for the sake of the gospel, letting Him reign and rule in us.  Won't you take this journey with us?
